The World Factbook (from the CIA) is one reliable source, accessible through the "W" link on the UNK Library's Databases by name list. Under that same "W" link the World Bank Open Data collection also has data for most countries. The Country Studies series from the Federal Research Division of the Library of Congress (under the "C" databases link) is also useful, as is the Developing Country Studies journal. The U.S. Department of State provides access to market research reports and a wide variety of other information on countries of the world, and the database USA Trade Online has information on import and export worldwide (librarian use only).  The Business Source Premier database is also a good source of information, searchable by keyword or by a number of indexing terms (click the down arrow next to More in the blue bar for indexing). (RLW)
