Most academic libraries, including the Calvin T. Ryan Library at UNK, do not collect textbooks. However, on occasion a faculty member may order a textbook for the library collection, so it is a good idea to check the Library catalog by title. You can do that by clicking either the LOPERSearch link or the Enhanced Catalog under the green Find Resources tab on the Library's home page. Then click the Advanced Search link, and select Title for the search box. Type in the exact title for the textbook you are seeking.
If the Library has the textbook, you may check it out like any other book, and you can renew it. Generally, it cannot be checked out for the semester.
For more information on checking out items / circulation, please see the Library's policies at: http://guides.library.unk.edu/lending_materials AND http://guides.library.unk.edu/loan_periods
